At a young her, she became fascinated by the world of art and dance. It would be this world which led to the stardom that she has achieved today. She became a famous actress in 2001 when she played the role in the film Ginny. As the plot unfolded, the Ginny role became more prominent. The saga would include eight blockbuster film. Apart from her part as Ginny as well, she appeared in Stranded in A Life in Pictures and Agatha Christie (2002). She is also talented in many other areas of entertainment. She has been involved in front and behind cameras. She directed and produced the film Separate We Go Separate We Are in 2012. She is of French German Irish and Scottish origins. Her family operated the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery established in 1847 in Erie Pennsylvania where her grandfather John Martin Magenau Jr. was the President and CEO from 1847 until the brewery's closure in 1978. Jacobs began her acting studies at the age of 8 and took acting classes on Saturdays in the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She participated in the Pittsburgh Public Theater where she was a perennial contender for the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be cast as Titania in the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Lebanon High School, in the year 2000, Jacobs was able to move into New York City New York for a place at in the Juilliard School where she was a member in the drama division's group 33. She graduated in 2004 with a bachelor degree.
