Becki Newton

Becki grew up in Guilford, Connecticut. At age 13, she began performing in community plays as well as summer stage productions. When she was enrolled in European History at Penn, she also did several semesters in Europe. Becki moved to NYC immediately after graduation in order to pursue Broadway. Apart from a host of guest starring roles and national commercials including Cold Case (2003) Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2000) and American Dreams (2002) she landed Amanda on Ugly Betty 2006. Her husband is the actor Chris Diamantopoulos, and her brother is actor Matt Newton. The beautiful women I've seen don't have to be supermodels. It's an honor that I don't have to worry about red carpet events or jobs because I'm not a professional. With regards to my looks, I'm open to trying new things. It's a pleasure to be glamorous! Making time for getting ready isn't about putting up with fuss and taking good the time to take care of myself. There's no harm in being a little fussy.
