Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actor. She's appeared in many films and TV shows, such as "Christy" which is a drama about a young woman named Christy Huddleston. Her other notable roles include the lead role in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin began her career in acting in the age of seven, when her aunt who was a nanny for Michael Landon's children, assisted her in landing her a role in the 1982 series 'Father Murphy'. Martin began her professional acting career after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of part-time roles in the TV and film industry. Apart from being an actor, Martin is also a talented photographer, as well as a ballet dancer. Her sister who passed away of Lupus at the age of 19, inspired her to become the Lupus national spokesperson.
